AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): On the occasion of Kharchi Puja 2019, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has laid importance on fairs and also various "haats" in moderns forms.

CM said mass gathering are followed always in small scale business like the shops in fair.

“The style and trend of fair might have been changed but the importance of fairs in trade section has not faded, rather it’s still lively way of making profits”, said Deb.

“Today is the day when more than shopping complexes, people are attracted for Kharchi fair and that’s our culture  which has also designed trade”, he said.

“Fair not only unite people but also it brings profit in business. From rich to poor, even shopping mall owners also will visit the small shops today here, if they have come to see the fair”, said CM Biplab Deb.

7 days long Kharchi puja has started amid rainy temperament today, however, almost every year rain welcomes Kharchi puja for long 7 days.

CM Biplab Deb has inaugurated the fair in the presence of two more BJP MLAs Sushanta Chowdhury and Ratan Chakraborty. Also Minister NC Debbarma was present on that occasion.
