AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): In another development for Indo-Bangla transport connectivity, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has demanded a bus service between Tripura’s Sabroom and Bangladesh’s Cox Bazar.
Deb to write a letter to the Union External Affairs Minister Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in this purpose.
He said, there are various states in India where people of Tripura visit to see beaches whereas Bangladesh’s Cox Bazar is no less than that. It is also cost and time profit area for Tripura people.
Cox’s Bazar is a town on the southeast coast of Bangladesh. It’s known for its very long, sandy beachfront, stretching from Sea Beach in the north to Kolatoli Beach in the south. Aggameda Khyang monastery is home to bronze statues and centuries-old Buddhist manuscripts. South of town, the tropical rainforest of Himchari National Park has waterfalls and many birds. North, sea turtles breed on nearby Sonadia Island.
Tripura is also developing a Railway connectivity with Bangladesh.
