UDAIPUR / PALATANA, October 21 (TIWN):Technical experts of BHEL, OTPC and Sugex Oman India Ltd have completed the maintenance work in Heat Recovery Steam Generator(HRSG) of the 726.6mw Combined Cycle Gas Turbine(CCGT) Thermal Power Plant. At around 11.30pm the experts have completed the maintenance work of Unit-I. An OTPC engineer told TIWN on Monday midnight," Just half an hour before experts have completed their work. And at 12am time BHEL will start production from Unit I. " Power situation during the Diwali festival now expected to stay uniterrupted throughout the State. This news has brought a huge relief to festival and the Diwali Mela Committee of Udaipur. Practically Diwali Mela has begun from sunday with the inaugural of the Tripura Sundari Dance and Music Festival. Governor P B Acharya inaugurated the festival.
Earlier on Thrusday, Oct 16 night, a single leakage was found in HRSG in Unit I and Engineers were successful in repairing the leakage on 20th midnight itself.
Technical experts of BHEL,OTPC and Sugex Oman found a single leakage in the Heat Recovery Steam Generator(HRSG) of the first unit of OTPCs 726.6MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine(CCGT) Thermal Power Plant in Palatana. At 11pm on Friday night the experts entered the HRSG through manhole and after carefully examining the HRSG they found a single leakage and thus the anxiety of a major leakage was over.
Now it is expected that during Diwali, Unit-I of OTPC will generate to its full capacity(363.3MW).
