AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): In suspect of cow-lifter, a person has been lynched to death in Tripura. State's local newspapers as well as national media like Times of India, News 18, Decand Herald, Scroll.in, The Week have covered the news, which sounds the sensitivity of the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Budhiram Tripura (36). The incident took place at Raisyabari in Gandacherra on Tuesday night 11 pm.
Report says, at night Budhiram was seen near a cow-shed and as locals came after him, Budhiram started running but was caught.
Mob allegedly beaten him heavily but on that time getting secret information police rushed to the spot and took him to hospital but Budhiram died.
Even after such a brutal killing, so far police didn’t arrest anyone.
