AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): After Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give few special packages for Tripura, PM has allocated an amount of Rs. 358 crores for Tripura’s development.
Tripura Govt believes, the funding is result of PM and CM’s meeting at Delhi on June 15, which will help to complete the pending works and projects.
This time, during CM’s Delhi visit for NITI Aayog meeting, he met PM Modi personally and discussed various issues about Tripura on June 15.
Accepting state govt’s plea, PM Modi has already transferred the fund, an official source said.
Central and State are right now having a same Govt which has made such funding possible. PM Modi earlier also gave around 500 crores for Tripura’s development.
