Agartala, July 3 (TIWN): Tripura University will organise 2-day National Workshop on “River and Water Management for Sustainable Development with Policy Perspectives” from 3-4 July 2019 in collaboration with Ganga Mission, Jalbiradari.

This Workshop is sponsored by the Government of Tripura. The programme is jointly organised by four Departments of Tripura University- Department of Forestry & Biodiversity, Department of Geography, Department of Rural Studies & Department of Sociology. It intends to sensitize, train, institutionalize, promote and enhance human awareness on river & water management, monitoring, water sustainable use, making policies etc.   

The workshop will also share information on water management and discuss its implementation. The said program will be inaugurated on 3rd July, 2019 at 10:45 am, Academic Building XI (Hall No.2). Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Governor & Chief Rector of Tripura University; Prof. V.L. Dharurkar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Tripura University & Dr. Rajendra Singh Magsaysay Awardee & Stockholm Water Prize Winner will be gracing in the inaugural programme.   Kindly find the attached invitation cum Brochure
