AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 21 (TIWN): Once again, SP West Ajit Pratap Singh begged to be pardoned at the High Court as OC-East Agartala PS found involved in illegal works.

The OC was however bound to do the illegal works out of pressure from the top, said source.

The issue was regarding a land-accusation debacle, centering which a person wanted to lodge a complaint but East Agartala PS OC-Manik Debnath didn’t allow to happen and no complaint was filed against the OC.

The owner of the land holding a close-relation with the ruling party and also allegedly close to OC-Manik Debnath.

The victim then was bound to file a case in High Court and as a punishment Justice Arindam Lodh had ordered to sit the OC in the court premise whole day.

Later SP West rushed to the court and sought mercy. Also investigation will be started against the OC and whole incident.
