AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): Once Chief Minsiter Biplab Deb said that if people go to Chabimura then they would not have to visit Amazon river, but under BJP rule, tourists are not at peace.

The tourist group visited Chabimura yesterday and reached the spot at around 10.15 am.

But as soon as they reached there, they found that there was no boats available.

After they inquired, they were informed that the local MLA of Amarpur Ranjit Das along with some of his party workers have taken the boat for their picnic and the tourists were asked to wait.

It has been alleged that the boat didn’t arrive till 4 pm, but every time they inquired they were told that the MLA has taken the boat and they are having picnic. 

It has been informed to TIWN that there were around 100 tourists waiting for the boats to come for whole day.

Among the visitors and tourist there were interns from Veterinary College who had families and friends coming to visit Chabimura all the way from Bihar, Jharkand. There were few officers from ONGC, a family from Dharmanagar who brought their in laws from Kolkata and several other tourist. All of the tourists had to return back without visiting the Chabimura.
