AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 15 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Wednesday while addressing in a blood donation camp at Dukli organized by DYFI announced that CPI-M’s fight with Total-Repoll demand will be continued till the end of it.
“The legal process which was started by CPI-M MP Sankar Prasad Dutta was valid with reasonable causes. Such rigging on poll day was never seen in Tripura. Tripura’s rigging on 11th April also has shaken the nation”, said Manik Sarkar.
“Supreme Court has suggested the MP to file the same case in the High Court first. We will continue our legal battle. Such way of undemocratic voting process can’t be accepted”, Sarkar told the gathering.
It can be noted here, Supreme Court of India on Tuesday has suggested Left Parties to file re-poll related case in Tripura High Court first instead of directly filing at the Supreme Court.
According to the suggestion of the Supreme Court, today the case has been filed by the MP in the High Court.
