AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 15 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Govt had cancelled all existing recruitments without taking permission from Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
It was revealed during a hearing to a petition filed by TPS/ TCS job aspirants.
On 2018, 20th August the New Recruitment Policy was announced and the Govt declared “cancellation of all ongoing recruitments”. Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that it was done for the sake of "Transparent Recruitment Policy". But there was no reason, why the existing recruitment process were cancelled when no irregularity was found.
High Court also ordered the Govt to complete ongoing recruitments within next 8 weeks, that is next 2 months.
Advocate Sahaktimoy Chakraborty has represented the case on behalf of the petitioner. Advocate Prathamoy Dutta has represented TPSC whereas from Govt side, Advocate General Arun Kanti Bhowmik was present.
It was revealed that Tripura Govt didn’t take any approval from Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) while cancelling the recruitments.
