Tripura witnessed 40 murders in last 4 months

NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): In such a small populated state, murder episodes have remained as day to day incidents, raising a serious question on the law and order situation of the state.
According to police report at least 40 murders took place from January 2019 to April 2019, which means 10 murders at an average in one month.
In 2018 total 137 murders took place which includes mob-lynching of innocent people.
Police report also has revealed that total 371 theft cases, kidnapping 166 and rioting 255 in numbers across 2018.
