Peaceful Repoll in Tripura : CEO

NEW DELHI, May 13 (TIWN): Re-poll in West Tripura constituency’s 168 booths has been peaceful and satisfactory, said Tripura CEO Sriram Taranikanti addressing media at Agartala after re-poll finished on Sunday at there.
Taranikanti mentioned, 72.32% was the voting percentage. Voting started from 7 am and in few booths the voting hours extended beyond 5 pm.
RO of West Tripura Vikash Singh said, due to huge numbers of security forces were deployed, thus the election remained peaceful.
Opposition parties however said, the election was not totally peaceful but far better than 11th April poll day.
Ruling BJP has desperately blamed accusing for acting as BSF and Police as CPI-M, Congress Party workers.
