AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): Re-poll in 168 booths have been started in Tripura on Sunday.

From sharp 7 am the poll started. Voters were standing in rows since early morning 5 am before many polling stations.

The repoll in 168 constituencies were conducted after Election Commission of India (ECI) spotted massive poll manipulation instances along with rigging on 11th April’s West Tripura Poll.

The same rigging was attempted to be repeated and polling agents of opposition were threatened over phone not to attend booths.

Election Commission special Observer Vinod Zutshi has arrived in Tripura on yesterday to ensure peaceful re-election.
