AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): Preparations are on a peak for the Re-election in 168 booths of West Tripura constituency slated to be held on May 12, Saturday.
The Central Paramilitary Forces had already arrived here at the state and has been deployed across the state to conduct free and fair elections on these booths, even though Congress has alleged law and order problem.
The voting would kick start from 7:00 AM till 5:00 PM on Sunday. However, the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were carried to the respective polling stations amidst the tight security of the CPMFs, BSFs, TSRs and the Tripura Police.
The re-polling is being conducted for the West Tripura constituency held on 11th April. BJP stopped lakhs of voters from casting votes and massive rigging of booths led the election commission to announce re-poll in 168 booths.
