AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): Congress, CPI-M have met the CEO Sriram Taranikanti demanding 100% free and fair election on 12th May’s election. Both opposition CPI-M and Congress have demanded videographing inside and outside the polling booths tomorrow.
Left Party delegates have met CEO Sriram Taranikanti demanding peaceful election on 12th May and asked the CEO to ensure no repetition of 11th April’s poll rigging episodes.
Tripura Lok Sabha Election was conducted in two phases but none of them could occur in a continuous process.
In case of East Tripura election, was poll was postponed from 18th April to 23rd April, whereas in case of West Tripura Poll, now 10% booths have ordered for re-polling.
As BJP had pushed out voters from voting rows, thus CPI-M and Congress demanded videographing inside and outside the booths.
However, neither voters not political parties of the opposition are happy as only 168 booths’ re-poll has been announced. They demanded afresh re-poll in whole West Tripura constituency.
