As a result just like queen pineapple, no project under the new Govt could not be succeeded.

Tripura has varieties of pineapples but throwing the productions under challenge the Govt bought only few kilos of Queen Pineapple and set abroad, but after one year there is no demand of Queen Pineapple in outside’s 5 star hotels.

Earlier it was reported that the costing charge of advertisement for Queen Pineapple was more than the selling price but now the productions of pineapples have been dropped massively and not only queen pineapple but various types of pineapples which have been popular in Tripura, this year a sharp down in the production was alleged.

Local newspapers of Tripura have claimed, this year at Agartala town vendors with pineapple-sticks are seen very less whereas in the past years, pineapple business was one of the centres of the business.

Queen pineapple was announced as state-fruit by President of India but there is no promotion of that product.

Govt in one way has failed to woo customers even though Biplab deb claimed queen-pineapples will be sold in 5-star hotels at Rs. 2000. Also Agriculture Dept’s failure in this regard is also pointed.
