AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has called for harmony and unity among all religions regardless cast and community on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti.
Manik Sarkar was addressing in a blood donation camp organized by CPI-M’s youth wing DYFI at Agartala to mark Rabindra Jayanti.
Appreciating the attempt, Manik Sarkar said that blood donation is the noble job to save human lives. Sarkar also asked people to come forward to donate their body organs.
He said, blood does not have any identity of religion and cast and such occasions on Rabindra Jayanti should not be targeted for publicity only.
Manik Sarkar further criticized country’s ongoing situation and attempt of breaking harmony among various religions’ people.
