AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN): Tripura Congress Seva Dal has remembered its founder Dr N S Hardikar on his 131st birth anniversary.
A formal programme was conducted at the Congress Bhawan premise in Agartala.
“This day, 131 years ago, a true patriot took birth and went on to start the first and largest disciplined, uniformed volunteer organisation in the country, which fought valiantly for the freedom of the motherland. We salute our founder Dr. N.S. Hardikar on his birth anniversary”, Congress Seva Dal tweeted.
The Seva Dal is the grassroots front organization of the Indian National Congress. The organization has a chapter in all the states of the Indian Union. The members of the organization are known for wearing the Gandhi topi. It is headed by a Chief Organizer, the present Chief Organizer is Lalji Desai.
