AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN):Due to poverty locals of Chamnau like areas are unable to go to the hospital amid malaria threats. Such has been alleged by CPI-M.
Addressing in a press conference at Melarmath Party Office, former Minister Ratan Bhowmik said, “As we know already Chamanu areas are suffering from malaria and various water-born diseases. People are facing tremendous problems and medical service is not reachable to them”.
“People are unable to come to the doctor due to poverty. Huge work crisis are going on”, he alleged.
“Deaths occurred in past few days, but before coming in hospitals they died. Many patient parties are unable to come to hospital due to financial crisis. Also doctor crisis are felt in hospitals along with crisis of medicines”, said Ratan Bhowmik further demanding Govt’s special attention in this matter.
A delegation of CPI-M led by former Minister Ratan Bhowmik, MLA Prabhat Chowdhury, leader M. Ali, former MLA Nirajoy Tripura have visited malaria affected areas and hospitals Chamanu, Lontarai Valley, Manikpur.
The CPI-M leaders talked to the locals and doctors at there. Also the leaders met SDM and Health Dept Secretary Samarjit Bhowmik.Letters also have sent to Health Minister and CM.
