AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Tripura’s unemployment rate has been doubled under Biplab Deb Govt where hardly 1377 jobs were given and 5000 contractual employees were terminated. According to CMIE report, Unemployment Rate in April 2018 was only 13.6% whereas the Unemployment Rate in April 2019 is 25.4% a double hike in last one year. But before election BJP promised about a 50000 govt jobs to the unemployed youths.Whereas till now Biplab Deb could not give anything to the unemployed youths except paan-shop, duck-rearing and cow-milking, few local media are desperately trying to manipulate the fact saying thatunemployment rate has downed over 7%. Only 295 persons have been appointed via TPSC whereas 1082 in other depts in total 1377 Govt jobs were given and 50000 Govt jobs were promised to be given in first one year, BJP Govt cancelled all recruitments and also terminated employees from JICA, Forest, Agriculture, Indo-German Project etc. Also with another shocking data Congress revealed 5000 contractual employees have lost jobs.
On the other side. 13791 persons names have been slashed from the social pension beneficiaries names.
In the same way either regularization of contractual employees or industrialization, BJP has failed to fulfil a single promise.
