AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Tripura’s former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Wednesday while addressing at Agartala on the occasion of May Day 2019 has slammed the present Govt led by Chief Minister Biplab Deb alleging “massive vote robbery†held on April 11 and still trying to manipulate the rigged election review.
“I do not know whether the State Govt has undergone any faceloss or not, but Tripura’s head was downed before the whole nation after Election Commission postponed East Tripura Election from 18th April to 23rd April, removed IG Law & Order (Rajiv Singh) from the dept. What more shameful event can more than this ?”, said Manik Sarkar.
Sarkar also cited example of Vindo Zutshi’s arrival, suspension of officials, appointment of Police observers.
He further raised question, why election commission is delaying the announcement of re-poll, when other states already got justice, commenting further, “The faith over Election Commission has not yet ended”.
Tripura Election for the rigged West constituency was held on 11th April with 100% booth capturing. CPI-M, Congress both have demanded re-poll in the total constituency.
