AGARTALA, April 19 (TIWN): It was not like BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik that Pradyot Manikya threatened police officer at midnight in a criminal spots, but Pradyot Manikya slapped one criminal Mintu Debbarma who was out of 30 criminals attacked Princess Pragya Deb Barman. After the attack, one of the hooligans was caught by Congress and security on spot at Tulashikhar and he was sent to police station. On the heat of the moment, Pradyot Manikya rushed to the Police station and slapped the miscreant Mintu Debbarma saying, “Why you attacked my sister ? You attack me. Don’t attack women”.Surprisingly recently, a video was made viral where BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik is threatening an IPS Officer to murder him on spot saying, “Tereko ham abhi mar dalega…”, but no FIR was lodged against Bhowmik, but Govt has filed case against Pradyot Manikya.His name is Mintu Debbarma who was handedover to police. It has been alleged, after threat from West MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik, the police didn’t arrest any more miscreants. Bhowmik has set hooligans form other states in Tripura.

The attack on Princess Pragya Debbarma held on yesterday. The vehicles of Pragya Deb Barman, Queen Bibhu Kumari, Pradyot Deb Barman were going in gap of 30 minutes each. Leader Ananta Debbarma who was earlier IPFT leader, now joined Congress was threatened in phone not to visit Khowai or to face attack. But already in that gap, Pragya Debbarman reached Tulashikhar and 30 miscreants attacked her and attempted to murder.

On spot security and Congress supporters caught one miscreant whereas 29 more escaped from the spot.

Then Pradyot Manikya out of emotion of being a brother slapped him.  

After the case was lodged, Pradyot Manikya said in social media, “The Govt has filed IPC Sec 447 ( 3 Months jail ) Sec 352 (3 months jail ) Sec 323 (1 year jail ) Sec 506 ( Two Years jail ) against me for retaliating against the man who planned and tried seriously to attack my sister MK Pragya DB along with 30 Goons at Tulashekhar,Khowai. I will Respond and so will the people who understand the emotions of a brother”.
