AGARTALA, April 18 (TIWN): Due to poll code violation and motivating election rigging under Biplab Deb Govt, Election Commission had removed Additional DGP Rajiv Singh from election duties and also freed from Law and Order section.

It was ordered that VS Yadav will take the charge, but due to his illness he is right now in leave.

As a result Commission is appointing Punit Rastogi.

However, free and fair election still under cloud as Punit Rastogi has been alleged a close to UP CM Adityanath Yogi. But Election Commission is keeping strict eye over Tripura election.
