AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M has welcomed Election Commission of India’s decision of poll-deferring for the East Tripura constituency from 18th April to 23rd April and removal of Additional DGP Rjiv Singh from the Election duties.
Addressing in social media, CPI-M State Secretary Gautam Das said, Election Commission in the notice said that it is not at all happy with the poll held on April 11 and various complaints are coming centering the poll.
Gautam Das also mentioned about CPI-M led complaints to the Election Commission and placing of evidences.
Also, Gautam Das welcomed the decision of Rajiv Singh’s removal from election dept and decision of increase in the security.
CPI-M has demanded peaceful election in East Tripura constituency and re-polling in West Tripura.
