AGARTALA, April 16 (TIWN): Princess Pragya Deb Barman has slammed Sunil Deodhar for calling her non-Tripuri saying, “He made that comment even without knowing me”.

Addressing media, Pragya Deb Barman said, “I am very unhappy to hear Sunil Deodhar ji’s comment on me, the person who has never meet me in his life. The BJP for around one year has been begging me as their candidate. But I said No”.

“I have been doing social work for a very long time. People of Agartala know, I am here in every single month but due to my engagement with social works, it’s not practically possible for me to stay in Tripura for long. The kind of work I do is larger than that”, she said.

“Even Maharaja Bir Bikram travelled across the world but did it stop him from doing anything for Tripura ?”, she added.

“People like Mebar Kumar Jamatia have downed to such a level that just because of fear of some action against them, they are not raising voice even though they know me personally very well”, said Pragya Deb Barman.

She also mentioned about Minister like Ratan lal Nath for offering same but just because she didn’t contest all are bringing personal attacks on her.

“Mebar Jamatia like persons who were very good to me today are doing this… it proves what kind of persons we have today in politics”, she added.
