AGARTALA, April 14 (TIWN): CPI-M has given a strict warning to the Election Commission not to allow to repeat 11th April’s poll rigging on 18th April again.
Addressing media, CPI-M leader Bijan Dhar said, the situation on 11th April turned horrifying.
Criticizing Udaipur Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Bijan Dhar asked, how he could visit booths during poll ? CPI-M has also complained about MLA Ram Prasad Pal for terrorizing booths and threatening police.
“However the CEO has confirmed that on 18th April if complaints are being given for any similar violence then immediate actions will be taken. We hope actions will be taken or the result will be unfortunate because voting rights have to be saved. Democracy no more can be destroyed which has been destroyed for 1 year of the BJP Govt”, said Dhar.
On being asked by media, what action against action CPI-M will take, Bijan Dhar said, “That we don’t know. Cannons will come in reply of cannon and guns in reaction of gun…what more we can say ?”
