AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): Top IPFT leader Suklacharan Noatia who had submitted nomination for MP election from the West Tripura constituency has today joined Congress under the influence of Congress State President, Royal scion Pradyot Manikya.

Along with Noatia more youths IPFT supporters have joined Congress.

Sources informed after Lok Sabha election IPFT MLAs likely to join Congress, except its two Ministers NC Debbarma, Mebar Jamatia.

However the nominations of five candidates, including one from the IPFT, were cancelled in Tripura for different reasons.

Sukla Charan Noatia’s joining in Congress has marked as a big blow for the IPFT which is now in Govt with the ruling BJP.

Before Noatia, Vice President of IPFT Ananta Debbarma, many women leaders and thousands of IPFT supporters have joined Congress reacting over Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and Forest land rights.
