AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das after various violent attacks took place on the opposition said that Election Commission so far has failed to keep its promise to create democratic environment in Tripura.
“In whole country, Tripura may be the only state where opposition could not continue their campaigning. Again and again we have told the Election Commission about the ongoing happenings in Tripura, but Election Commission has failed to fulfil its promise”, said Gautam Das.
Gautam Das further called people to cast massive voting for Left candidates and fearlessly to cast their own votes. He said, CPI-M will stay in the battle and fight till the last moment.
He also mentioned that across West Tripura no CPI-M banner was allowed. Wherever flags were put, all have been removed, but Election Commission remained as a mute spectator.
