AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): Citing example of capability of Leftist MP candidates, Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar while addressing in Ramthakur Sangha field in election campaigning said that the MPs of Tripura not only worked inside and outside the Parliament but also visited abroad for developmental works.
Noteworthy, it was MP Jitendra Chaudhury who visited abroad and also carried well international relations led JICA like projects’ starting in Tripura.
“But such MPs are today attacked as ruling govt is trying to suppress their voice and movement MPs don’t function for party but work independently. BJP is suppressing freedom of speech even attacking the Supreme Court of India which was proven when four judges of SC told media about the “wrong goings” inside the court.
“India’s independence’s highest achievement has been the Constitution of India but today under BJP regime, it’s under severe attack”, said Sarkar.
