UDAIPUR,October 10 (TIWN): Seven days long Tripura Sundari Viswa Kalyan Yagna started here in Matabari today. At 11am the fire of the Yagna was lighted by rubbing two flints of wood as it was usually done in ancient days. The 1008 Bouraha Baba of Shib Ganaga Mandir, Benaras himself took the fire from the flint and started the Yagna. This Yagna will continue up to 16th October.

Devotees from different parts of Udaipur, Dharmanagar, Agartala came here to take part in the Maha Yagna. After the fire was lighted, devotees started 'Parikrama'( moving around the ' Yagna Sthal'. 25 Rishis from Benaras, Brindaban, Prayag came here to assemble the Yagna. This is the first time that such Yagna is being held in Tripura. Before this the Yagna was also held in Kamakhya Pith,Assam.
