AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): AD Nagar Police led by SDPO Ajay Kumar Das have seized huge amounts of phensedyl bottles on Friday.

Addressing media,  SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said, it was suspected as Indo-Bangla drug smuggling case and via the source we came to know that one Jahar Mia has kept huge stock of phensedyl near SIPARD.

Police also rushed to Jahar Mia’s home, but he could not be traced. Jahar Mia’s wife denied all such allegation whereas under proper order, his house was shortly raided.

During the raid, many phensedyl bottles were found, seized. Total 600 bottles at 72000 rupees worth have been seized.

SDPO said that these bottles were to be smuggled at Bangladesh tonight.

It’s well-known that one phensedyl bottle at Rs. 80’s is sold at thousand rupees value in Bangladesh.
