AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): With the tragedy with CPI-M supporter Rai Mohon Pal, whose house was burnt after he complained about BJP’s attack on him to the Chief Minister in Janata Durbar, it has triggered fear whether complaining anything against BJP may lead to deadly consequence ?
At first his all idols of Gods and Goddesses were damaged and when complained miscreants set fire at his home. Already he is in exile like condition and unable to stay in home, due to continuous attacks on him. The incident took place at Melaghar. The artist has been identified as Ray Mohon Pal who is residing in his relatives’ home as his house was captured by local BJP. BJP miscreants led by local leader Chandan Debnath the attacked his home. Total 26 Durga idols, Biswakarma 200, Kali 9. Apart from them, Saraswati, Laxmi and other Gods’ and Goddesses’ idols were also damaged. After he complained this matter to Chief Minister Biplab Deb, he was assured that Biplab Deb will look after the matter. But Biplab Deb’s promise resulted in burning of Ray Mohon’s home. The BJP miscreants not only set fire in his home but also stopped police and fire brigade to operate. FIR was even though lodged, but so far no action was taken against Chandan Debnath and others.
