AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Saturday once again fires up criticism with a corruption exposer of his own Govt. Biplab Deb was addressing at Melaghar in a programme organized for Neermahal locals where 2000 ducks were given to the locals. This was a part of Biplab Deb’s promise to give 50000 ducks to Neermahal locals. Deb also claims, those ducks costed Rs. 1 crore which has triggered controversy as 1 crore for 2000 ducks means one duck is costing Rs. 5000, which is nothing but a big scam. Also Biplab Deb said that it was not at free of cost but managed from the revenue which was collected by Govt from people of Tripura. After he claimed that the duck babies costed each Rs. 5000 each, roars of social media jokes has been started and the news is viral.Biplab Deb said that 2000 ducks which are given today to Neermahal locals costed total 1 crore of budget and resentment erupted as he affirmed, these 1 crore was a part of tax collection.“Those ducks were brought from Bangalore. How many of you have gone to Bangalore. I do believe 80% haven’t gone ?â€, he added.
However after 1 crore was claimed as each duck’s price, calculation said, then 1 duck=Rs. 5000.
Earlier Biplab Deb also said that ducks will release oxygen in Rudrasagar lake of Neer Mahal.
