New Delhi / Agartala, Feb 12 (TIWN): Favouring the freedom of Fourth-Pillar-of-democracy, MP Jitendra Chaudhury has raised voice for Tripurainfoway.com (TIWN) in the Parliament.

Tripurainfoway.com (TIWN) has been widely popular news media specially among the young generation, which was attempted to be destroyed by Biplab Deb Govt and by misusing police machinery through SP West Ajit Pratap Singh, Biplab Deb sent wrong information illegally to the domain of the media based at US in illegal manner. But the BJP Govt couldn’t be succeeded with that dirty intrigue.

Under Modi Govt where democracy has no existence anymore, the Govt of India at the end blocked the website in India even though the website is still highest read website in Tripura through 2nd and 3rd site or using VPN.

Also the Editor Saumen Sarkar’s senior citizen parents were illegally harassed by police until Tripura High Court put an objection and summoned SP West in the court of law.

TIWN was not the first media came under the attack of BJP Govt.

Mentioning similar attacks, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said in the Parliament, during Citizenship Amendment Bill debate, “Having no mention of the Government's autocratic intervention upon the freedom of press, very particularly suspension of publication of DAILY DESHER KATHA a progressive daily of more than 40 years in Tripura, TRIPURAINFOWAY an web portal and detention of a Journalist in Manipur, namely Kishore Chandra Wangkhem under National Security Act”.
