AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M has kicked off a massive protest rally here in Agartala voicing against BJP led attacks on CPI-M and two tops leaders’ harassment at Bishalgarh.

On Thursday, the day of Tripura Municipal Day, BJP goons led by Nabadul Banik had attacked Ex Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha and slapped on his face at Bishalgarh.

Then on Friday CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das was also attacked and assaulted by BJP at the same sub-division.

At Panisagar various attacks took place, including one 75 years old woman left injured in her head.

Such attacks have been continuing till now across the state. One woman at Kamalpur named Jharna Namashudra was also severely beaten by BJP in a brutal attack.

Voicing against the crimes, CPI-M has kicked off the protest rally in Agartala.

Above 500 people have walked in the rally organized by CPI-M today in Agartala, starting from Melarmath area.
