AGARTALA, Dec 28 (TIWN): CPI-M has marked 27th December as the Black day of Tripura. Democracy was butchered in the name of voting.
From last night fearing of voters, harassment of voters, violation, booth capturing ,rigging all were happened from various Municipality area particularly from Belonia,Bishalghar,Santirbazar & even from Sadar Sub Division. It is a matter of concern that even Ex Minister was also physically assaulted in his old age in front of youths.
In a press meet CPI (M) has alleged widespread violence against communist supporters and candidates. The party also “withdrew” their candidates in four seats of Agartala Municipal Corporation. In some places, the candidate was not allowed to cast vote.
On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Dr Ashok Sinha denied the CPI (M) allegations and said they raised “baseless and wild allegations”.
