AGARTALA, Dec 26 (TIWN): Sub-inspector of Criminal Investigation Dept (CID) Sushil Debbarma was arrested in drug nexus on Tuesday.

Even though at the begging Debbarma denied the charges after huge amounts of cash was seized from his rented house, but after interrogation, police arrested him.

Total Rs. 10.12 lakh were seized from his rented house.

Police arrested the SI following another drug smuggling case’s investigation. One woman Madhuri Chakraborty was arrested and after interrogating him police traced the SI’s name, thus arrested.
