Agartala, September 30 (TIWN): The state cabinet today decided to induct people in seventy different categories to man five newly created blocks. 45 out of these posts would be filled by through direct recruitment and 25 would be filled on promotion basis, Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said here today.

The miscellaneous posts comprise head clerks, upper division clerks, lower division clerks, senior computer assistants, RD officer, RD organizers, mechanics, storekeepers etc, he said.

Speaking to reporters after conclusion of the state cabinet meeting here today, Saha said that beside the seventy miscellaneous posts created block level, two principals would be inducted in the two polytechnic institutes at Dharmanagar and Kumarghat. Retired principals or eligible retired candidates would be inducted on contract basis for one year as of now. Regular recruitment would be made through TPSC in due course of time.

Twenty lecturers would be inducted for teaching in diploma level in polytechnic colleges of the state.

Six assistant professors would be inducted in the Regional College of Physical Education at Panisagar.
