AGARTALA, Dec 15 (TIWN): Acute blood crisis has hit blood banks of Tripura hospitals, said Health Minister Sudip Barman.
The Health Minister further called blood donors to donate blood voluntarily to mitigate the ongoing blood crisis situation. The programme was organized by ‘All Tripura Teachers Association’ on Saturday, inaugurated by Health Minister Sudip Barman.
Barman also said that this decision of blood donation camp taken by ‘All Tripura Teachers Association’ is very fruitful when state is suffering from acute blood crisis.
“As the numbers of patients are high, so the crisis is leading a serious turn. Also, we are far from the target of blood collection. In few months huge numbers of blood donation camps are organized and in few months camps are very less”.
“So, to keep the balance of blood collections per month, we are going to organize a meeting at Town Hall on 29th December and I will write personally to all organizations to join the programme, so that we can come in a decision of balancing the blood collection with the demand”, Barman added.
