SAMBROOM (South Tripura), Dec 14 (TIWN): An underground fire has broken out in the Jolefa area in Sabroom subdivision under South Tripura on Friday morning.

Smoke can be seen coming from manhole covers in the streets with firefighters and emergency services on the scene.

Beside national highway at Jolefa this incident has triggered mass tension. Locals are frightened as this area is holding many families.

The blaze has left businesses and houses in the area without power.

Earlier, on April 28, 2018 a similar incident took place at Baishnabpur of this same subdivision.
