CPI-M not to fight in Municipal Election at Melaghar

MELAGHAR, Dec 8 (TIWN): Protesting against the ongoing violence at Melaghar, CPI-M has announced not to fight in the upcoming election on December 22.
Candidates families were attacked, houses were vandalized and massive attacks took place upon the opposition candidates and even their family members.
Many had to leave houses at Melaghar as in night time miscreants were attacking their homes covering faces with black clothes. In this condition amid life threats, CPI-M after a protest rally on Saturday had announced that they will not fight in the upcoming election.
