AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): Even after IPFT had withdrawn 12 hours ADC strike in Tripura after a compromise meeting held with BJP-IPFT Govt, but in Gandachera people observed 12 hours strike.
No vehicle service was provided and also shops, markets remained closed.
Earlier, IPFT had called for a 12 hours strike in ADC areas with their long pending demands but as State Govt had agreed for Village Committee Election, IPFT has withdrawn 12 hours strike.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb has called the IPFT leaders and assured about the election. Also he promised that high power committee will act in fast manners. With the promise IPFT had withdrawn 12 ours strike decision in the ADC areas.
But in Gandachera the strike was observed under tight security blanket.
