AGARTALA, Dec 2 (TIWN): Amra Bangali, a Bengali community backed party in Tripura has slammed the ruling BJP Govt, comparing its rule with Talibani era.
Addressing in a press conference, Amra Bangali chief Hari Gopal Debnath said, “Across the state centering the Municipal Election, the BJP-IPFT Govt is intriguing against the oppositions. On yesterday our leader Gautam Deb went to bring nomination at Khowai Returning Office. Few BJP miscreants stopped him from entering the office. After that Gautam Deb returned from there and wrote a written complaint to SDPO for submission. He sent another person to the SDPO office but there also BJP activists stopped him asking why was he entering the office. Then after searching his pockets that paper was snatched and he was threatened to leave”.
“This is not democracy. This is Talibani rule. As BJP is trying to kill the opposition voice and indulging its members in broad day light violence that’s why statewide tension and violence are taking place. We boycott this election. We condemn the Govt’s Talibani rule of BJP”, Debnath told media.
