AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): Gautam Das has been selected as the new General Secretary of CPI-M, releasing Bijan Dhar from the charge.

Gautam Das was the Ex-Editor of Daily Desher Katha and long time spokesman of CPI-M. 

This decision was taken during 22nd State Conference of CPI-M in the presence Party National General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, Politburo Brinda Karata and Prakash Karat.

CPI-M has also announced State Committee members name list comprises of 75 names led by Manik Sarkar, Badal Choudhury.
