AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): CBI is in total slumber to probe journalists murder cases held in Tripura before Assembly Election.
One year have been passed after two journalists of Tripura were killed in separate incidents. Lots of protests demanding CBI inquiry in journalists murder cases had taken place during Manik Sarkar's Chief Ministry.
After BJP Govt had formed in Tripura the cases were handedover to CBI accordingly, but so far no development has come in both of the cases.
Sudip Datta Bhaumik (died 21 November 2017) was a journalist killed in Tripura allegedly by a police officer of the Tripura State Rifles Tapan Debbarma along with other police officials during an altercation. Sudip was a reporter of Bengali newspaper Syandan Patrika and local television channel News Vanguard.
Santanu Bhowmik (died 20 September 2017) was a photo-journalist was killed in a clash led by IPFT.
