AGARTALA, Nov 14 (TIWN): Breaking protocols, ethics and court order, Tripura Public Service Commission has started massive cancellation of existing jobs without any proper reason. Total three ongoing recruitments have been cancelled in a fresj notification, after before two months TPSC had postponed various existing recruitments under State Govt's pressure. The recently cancelled recruitments where almost the candidates had completed their interviews are 1) Lecturer, Diploma Level Technical Institutions in Tripura Under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 2) Sub-Inspector of Excise under Excise organization, Finance Department, Govt. of Tripura, 3) Agriculture Officer TAFS under the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Tripura. This decision was plan-wise followed after on August 3rd, Law Dept had cancelled ongoing recruitments, but as TPSC has been an independent organization Govt couldn't announce anything about its recruitment but on August 20 TPSC had postponed all the existing recruitments and after two and half months it has cancelled 3 ongoing recruitments.
The aspirant of lecturer in diploma level technical institute exam, who cleared the written exam and also faced the interview after putting years of efforts for this exam and also invested a lot of time to clear this exam have expressed shocks over the cancellation as their recruitment was under High Court observation. The process was delaying due to some legal issues which was under High Court observation, but in the month of June High Court gave final verdict, which ordered to complete the recruitment processes by following 2007 recruitment rules. But by violating High Court's order TPSC has cancelled the recruitment.
At the same time, when unemployment rate is going at 32.2% in Tripura, Chief Minister Biplab Deb's viral statements where he suggests youths to rear cows to earn 8000 per month erupting further resentments.
