AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): One Railway Ticket seller in black-market has been arrested by GRP from Agartala Railway Station on Monday.
The accused has been identified as Debabbrata Debnath, a local businessman in Sakuntala market. After Debabrata was arrested, he started showing his arrogance in front of police and called various people by his mobile, just in Don-like attitude.
Debabrata also has a huge social background and closed to social workers and in good link with political personalities, follower of "Art of Living". A reputed businessman's such unethical works have shocked the public.
Sources in the GRP said various e-tickets Debabrata had sold and by various links, he was arrested. Debnath will be produced before the Court tomorrow.
Recently an investigation has revealed that forged train tickets are being sold at a fraction of their retail price on the dark web and then used at rail stations. Whether Debabrata was selling ticket online or selling other people's ticket in double charge it could not be known yet.
However, these tickets were not purchased through a website, via an app, or in person at a ticket office. Rather, they were sourced on the dark web – the shadowy part of the internet that flourishes with illegal trade of weapons, drugs and stolen credit cards, among other things.
