AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): Amra Bangali, a Bengali backed political organization in Tripura has protested against BJP ruled Assam's Tinsukia killings.
Days after 'suspected' United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) militants killed six men in Assam's Tinsukia district a protest rally was conducted at Agartala with massive numbers of participants.
Noteworthy, unidentified gunmen had shot dead six 'Bengali speaking men' in Assam's Kheronibari village in Tinsukia district on Thursday night. The men assailants, who were dressed in military fatigues took the men to a nearby bridge and sprayed bullets on them from behind. While five people died on the spot, one succumbed to injuries later. While the police blamed ULFA for the killings, ULFA-I, in a statement distanced itself from the killings.
All political parties as TMC, CPI-M, Congress have condemned the killing.
