AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): Even though with Health Minister Sudip Barman's visit an amount of discipline was back in GB hospital, but in Doctors' absence the situation attempts to turn same which are leading horrifying nights for critical patients due to 'sleeplessness'. Special duty nurses at Rs. 200 per patient take long naps every night without helping the patients and taking care of the comforts of her patient. After Saturday's power cut problem in GB hospital on Sunday in medicine ward when patients were supposed to keep in comfort, the ward turned into "fish market", a total mess due to two emergency patients entrance along with huge numbers of patient parties entrance till late-night in the "presence" of "sleeping guards". The hospital staffs never talk in low voice (except during senior Doctors' presence). Nurses instead of controlling the situation they also keep on shouting, ego-fights, dramas which affected the heart-attacked and other mentally critical patients due to sleeplessness for the night. Even though above one person is not allowed with the patient and without "pass-entrance" nobody is allowed to enter in wards, but the drama ended till the doctors were there till late evening.
In female medicine ward, two critical patients came and along with them at least 30 family members came and all kept n shouting till late night. Nurses voices were same which left 3 critical patients health condition as worst in the ward. None of the nurses attempted to remove the extra people with patients who came, rather the security guards while attempted they were threatened by one patient party.
At the same time, people inside the female medicine ward continued talking in telephone. As a result a total indiscipline hit the whole service, left 3 physiological-trauma like patients more shocked, afraid.
One of the patients who was in good health since 3 days, turned 'mad-like' again today morning because she didn't sleep yesterday night and the special nurse was sleeping instead of asking her patients to sleep.
But since the morning 7 am again drama of pass-entry had started.
