AGARTALA, Oct 25 (TIWN): Tripura NRC was tagged with Assam NRC claim of the petitioner and Supreme Court Advocate Manish Goswami has become untrue as no hearing was pronounced regarding Tripura NRC case on yesterday.
On October 8, in the press briefing by Advocate Manish Goswami after hearing of NRC case of Tripura filed by "Tripura People’s Front" (TPF) said, "The condition of Tripura is worse than Assam due to illegal intrusions in the state and the case has been tagged with Assam by the Court".
"Even though the hearing date yet not announced but it expected the hearing will be on the same date with Assam i.e. on 23rd October", said the advocate.
Talking to Tripura Law Secretary Data Mohon Jamatia, he told TIWN, the cabinet yet to discuss on what will be State Govt's stand on NRC. The hearing is expectedly on next month first week.
